The plain-English overview

Does your business run on Gmail and Google Docs? Then you may already have an AI assistant waiting inside them: Gemini in Google Workspace. Here's what Google's official pages say (we checked on Oct 28, 2026).

Here's what it does, app by app, in Google's words:

  • Gmail: summarize threads, find key details, and draft professional emails.
  • Meet: let AI take notes so you can focus on the conversation.
  • Docs: create formatted first drafts and match your tone, voice, and style.
  • Sheets: build spreadsheets and fill in tables using plain-English prompts.
  • Slides: add editable slides to your decks.
  • Drive: find, summarize, and pull insights from across your files.
  • Gemini Notebook: turn your own files into insights, audio overviews, and visual aids.
  • Studio: build flows in minutes for things like meeting prep and organizing email.
  • Vids: create and edit videos for work.

There's also the Gemini app itself, for quick questions or bigger projects.

On privacy, Google says your company data isn't used to train its models or for ads. It also says Gemini only pulls content the user already has access to.

Pricing, as listed (per user per month, plus tax, with a one-year commitment):

  • Business Starter: $7. Includes the Gemini assistant in Gmail and Gemini chat.
  • Business Standard: $14. Adds Gemini in Gmail, Docs, Meet, and more, plus Gemini Notebook, appointment booking pages, and Studio. Google's AI page shows $16.80 without the annual commitment.
  • Business Plus: $22. Adds more storage, Vault, and extra security.
  • Enterprise: contact sales.

Google says the annual commitment saves 16%. Business plans cover up to 300 users. When we checked, there was also a limited-time intro discount for new customers. The no-commitment prices for Starter and Plus weren't shown, so those are unknown for now.

Want to build custom agents? Google also offers Gemini Enterprise, which it says lets teams build agents without coding. That's a bigger, enterprise plan with pricing through sales.

A quick note: the customer stories on Google's pages are its own marketing, so we've left them out.
