The plain-English overview
Does your team keep its notes, docs, projects, or wiki in Notion? Notion AI is the AI that works right inside it. Here's what Notion's official pages say, as of Oct 28, 2026.
Here are the main pieces, in Notion's words:
- Notion Agent: completes complex, multi-step tasks using context from Notion, your connected apps, and the web. Notion says anything you can do in Notion, your agent can do for you.
- Custom Agents: AI agents that handle repetitive tasks on their own. You set them up once, and the whole team benefits.
- AI Meeting Notes: captures meeting details and summaries, and helps with follow-ups, with no bot joining your call.
- Enterprise Search: searches across connected apps like Slack, Google Drive, and GitHub.
- Smaller helpers: generating docs and autofilling databases.
On control and privacy, Notion says you control what Notion AI can see and do. It also says its contracts with AI providers prohibit using customer data to train their models, and that it's SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 certified.
Pricing, as listed (per member per month):
- Free: $0, with a trial of Notion AI.
- Plus: $10, also with a trial of Notion AI.
- Business: $20. This is where Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes, and Enterprise Search come in. The AI page lists 1,500 Standard credits and 500 Select credits per seat each month.
- Enterprise: custom pricing, and Notion says its AI providers keep zero data on Enterprise workspaces.
Custom Agents are free to try, then $10 per 1,000 monthly Notion credits. The page offers up to 20% off with yearly billing, and checkout shows whether a price is monthly or yearly.
A quick note: the customer quotes on Notion's pages are its own marketing, so we've left them out.
