Do you keep your business notes, docs, and to-dos in Notion? Its AI just got a big update. Here's what Notion's release notes say, as we read them on Oct 28, 2026.
What Notion announced on Oct 19, 2026:
- More capable agents: Notion says its agents now have their own computer and browser, smarter context management, and a new Review for me mode with safety checks. They can work on tasks for up to 24 hours.
- Auto: an upgraded model router that matches each task to a model. Notion says it costs about 90% less on average across 20+ common tasks.
- Bring your own AI: connect a ChatGPT Plus, Pro, or Go plan to your personal Notion Agent. Bring Your Own Key is in private alpha for Enterprise.
- Notion MCP: overhauled, with memory sync live now and skills coming soon.
- A new credit system for Notion AI.
- Coming soon: an AI Command Center to see usage and set spending limits and alerts.
What this means for you: First, if you use Notion AI, check how the new credit system affects your plan. Next, try Review for me on a small task before handing over bigger ones. Then, keep a person reviewing anything an agent sends outside your team.
