Make AI Agents

Provider: Make · Checked Oct 27, 2026

AI agents built inside Make's visual, no-code canvas. They make judgment calls on messy work like emails and documents, then trigger your regular Make workflows, and you can see every decision they make.

Getting set up

According to Make: you need a Make account (AI Agents are available on all plans), then you build agents in the visual builder on the same canvas as your scenarios. No coding needed.

The plain-English overview

Already automating tasks in Make and wondering if an AI agent could take on the trickier ones? That's where Make AI Agents come in. Here's how Make describes them on its official AI Agents page (we checked it on Oct 27, 2026).

Make is a visual automation platform. Its AI agents live on the same canvas as your regular Make workflows (Make calls those "scenarios"). The idea is simple: a scenario follows fixed steps, and an agent adds judgment for the parts that need thinking.

Here's what Make says you get: First, no coding. You build agents in Make's visual builder, and if you already build scenarios, you can build agents too. Next, full visibility. A Reasoning panel shows every decision the agent makes, step by step, right on the canvas. Then, you stay in control. You can set clear rules, add manual approvals, or stop the agent at specific points. And last, reuse. An agent is a building block you can use across several workflows instead of rebuilding the same logic.

When should you use an agent instead of a plain scenario? Make puts it this way: if it just needs doing, use automation. If it needs thinking, use an agent. That's especially true with unstructured input like text, messages, or documents.

Make says AI Agents are available on all plans, and that you can connect a big library of apps (the page says 3,000+ native apps in one spot and 3,500+ apps in another) plus custom integrations to anything with an API (a way for software to talk to other software).
