The problem: You know you should post regularly. But every week starts with a blank screen, and by Friday nothing has gone out.
What you end up with: A week of social post drafts, built from your own offers, news, and tips, in your voice and waiting for your approval before anything is posted.
What you'll need
A short list of what you want to talk about this week (an offer, a tip, a customer question, some news), a few of your past posts as examples, and the platforms you post on.
Getting set up
Need social posts every week but short on time? Here's a playbook built from what each tool's official docs say it can do. First, pick a tool. Gumloop lists a social media agent that studies what's working and builds a content calendar in Google Sheets. Make lets you add manual approvals on its visual canvas. In AI by Zapier, you can mix AI steps with fixed steps and require approval before a tool runs. Next, set up one place for drafts, like a spreadsheet with a row per post. Then, write a short voice note: who you're talking to, and words you love and avoid. And last, keep posting manual, or behind approval. The agent drafts. You post.
Step by step
- Each Monday, give the agent your topics for the week.
- Ask it to draft one post per topic for each platform you use, matched to that platform's style.
- Have it suggest a day for each post and add everything to your drafts sheet.
- Ask it to flag any fact, price, or claim you should double-check.
- Review the drafts. Edit the voice, check the facts, and cut what you don't love.
- Approve, and post or schedule them yourself, or let the agent schedule them after your OK.
- At the end of the month, note which posts did well and add them as examples.
A prompt to start with
Here's a prompt to start with. Adjust it to fit your tool. "Here are my topics for this week, plus three of my past posts as voice examples. For each topic, draft one post for [platforms]. Keep each post short and friendly, with one clear call to action. Don't invent prices, results, or testimonials. Flag anything I should fact-check. Add each draft to my sheet with a suggested day. Don't post anything."
What you'll get
A sheet with one row per post: platform, suggested day, the draft, and any fact-check flags.
If something goes wrong
If posts sound generic, add more of your real posts as examples. If it repeats the same hook, ask for three different openings per post. If it adds claims you can't back up, remind it not to invent results.
Keep in mind
Only post claims you can stand behind, and follow each platform's rules and any advertising disclosure rules that apply to you. A person should approve every post before it goes live.
