The official places we check before we write about an AI agent: company docs, help centers, and product pages, with the date we checked.
So where do our facts come from? Here's the short answer: the companies themselves.
When we write about an AI agent, we go to the original source first. That means the company's own product page, docs, help center, or official blog. Here are the ones we've used so far, each checked on Oct 27, 2026:
- Grok Bot: xAI's official product page (x.ai/bot)
- Claude Code: Anthropic's Claude Code overview docs
- n8n: n8n's AI page and its AI Agent node docs
- Zapier: Zapier's AI page, its Help Center, and the Zapier blog
- Make: Make's AI Agents page
- Microsoft Copilot Studio: Microsoft's overview on Microsoft Learn
- Lindy: Lindy's official site
Here's how we use them. First, we write down the date we checked each page. You'll see it next to the facts. Next, we keep a company's marketing claims separate from the facts. Big customer numbers and testimonials stay on the company's site, not in our profiles. Then, when a page doesn't list something, like a price, we say it's unknown instead of guessing. And lastly, we check again on a schedule, more often for things that change a lot, like pricing.
You can see the full details in our Editorial Standards.
