Running Grok Bot for a small team and want a say in what gets shared? Team admins have a growing set of switches. Here's what xAI's changelog lists, checked on Oct 28, 2026.
Sharing and publishing
- Bot sharing: admins can limit Bot sharing to admins. Share controls then say Your admin has disabled Bot sharing.
- Templates: admins choose whether members can publish Bot templates publicly, only to the team, or not at all.
- Pages: admins can limit who can share Pages with everyone on the team.
- Team look: admins can upload a team icon and turn on link previews that show a Team Bot's name, description, color, and shape.
Plugins and Bots
Per the changelog, plugins an admin wouldn't allow show Disabled by team admin. Plugins on a Team Bot use the settings your admin entered when the Bot has none of its own. Admins can turn off Messaging between Bots, so members' Bots can't message or hand work to other Bots. On the Manage Team Bots page, admins can search by Bot or creator name and delete a teammate's Team Bot.
Computers and data (Enterprise)
xAI says Enterprise team admins can recreate, terminate, or delete members' Grok Bot computers from Manage Bot Computers, or through the Admin API. With Terminate Inactive Computers on, members' computers are terminated after 30 days without use. Enterprise admins can also permanently delete a member's Grok Bot data from Security & Compliance.
