Customer Service AI Watch: October 2026

Oct 28, 2026

What the big small-business support tools are offering right now: Fin 4 and its operations agent, Freshdesk's included AI Agent sessions, Tidio's growing product menu, and HubSpot's Customer Agent, each from the company's own pages.

AI customer service tools move fast. Here's what four of them show on their own pages this month, checked on Oct 28, 2026.

Intercom: Fin 4 and an operations agent. Fin's site says "Fin 4 is here" and calls it its most powerful agent yet. It also lists Operator, an operations agent that does improvement work, and offers Fin for other help desks, naming Salesforce, Freshdesk, HubSpot, and Zendesk.

Freshdesk: an AI agent on every listed plan. Freshworks' pricing page says each Freshdesk plan includes Freddy AI Agent with the first 500 sessions. Extra sessions are $49 per 100. Its homepage also mentions free AI onboarding and an MCP connection for bringing customer data into other AI tools.

Tidio: more than Lyro now. Tidio's site menu lists Ayro, described as hiring AI to handle customer service, Tidio Agents, a custom AI solution built by experts, and Hubi AI, an AI coworker for on-brand marketing, alongside Lyro.

HubSpot: Customer Agent and Agent Builder. HubSpot's AI page lists a Customer Agent that resolves inquiries across channels, and an Agent Builder for building custom agents on one canvas with your customer data.

What this means for you: First, check how each tool bills. It might be per outcome, per session, or per seat. Next, if you already use a help desk, look for an AI agent that works with it before you switch. Then, start with your most common questions and keep a person ready for the rest.
