The plain-English overview

Wish someone could chase down errands, bookings, and bills for you? Meta says that's the idea behind Muse. Meta introduced Muse in September 2026. Here's what Meta's official pages say, as of Oct 28, 2026.

What Muse does:

  • Personal agent: Meta says Muse doesn't just answer questions, it does the work, and turns long-term goals into action plans.
  • Just message it: you talk to it in the Muse app or in WhatsApp, like messaging a person.
  • Gets things done: Meta says it can send an email, book travel, open a browser, and fill out forms.
  • Keeps going: for longer tasks, it keeps working after you close the app, and comes back when it needs approval.
  • Reminders and memory: the help center says you can ask questions, set reminders, and have ongoing conversations that build on earlier ones.

Safety, per Meta:

  • Muse Secure VM: Muse runs on its own dedicated computer in the cloud, where the data and credentials for services you connect are stored.
  • Sentinel: a separate Sentinel agent approves anything Muse sends to the internet, and asks you for permission when needed.
  • You choose access: you decide how much access it gets, and it checks with you before sensitive actions like sending an email or making a purchase.

Who it's for: Meta built it for everyday people, no technical experience required. Meta has since added Muse for Small Business, with skills and connectors for business tools. See our Muse for Small Business story.

Good to know: Meta is rolling Muse out country by country, starting in the US and Canada, and now Singapore. Review anything it sends or buys for you.
