Canva Craft: Canva Launches Its Own Image Model

On October 22, 2026, Canva introduced Canva Craft, its first image generation model, built for design and available to all Canva users in Dream Lab.

  • Canva Craft: Canva's first image generation model, built and trained by Canva Research, its in-house AI lab.
  • Built for design: Canva says Craft plans the layout before it renders, for legible text and precise placement.
  • Sizes: images up to 2K resolution in more than 30 aspect ratios.
  • Availability: Canva says Craft is available to all Canva users globally. Open Dream Lab in the bottom left panel. It's also in Canva's public API.
