QuickBooks with Intuit Intelligence

Does bookkeeping pile up until the weekend? QuickBooks is the accounting software many small businesses already use, and Intuit has built AI into each paid plan, which Intuit calls Intuit Intelligence. Intuit's pricing page lists what's in each plan. Here's the plain-English version, as of Oct 28, 2026.

What Intuit lists, by plan:

• Simple Start: AI Chat for instant insights (beta, limited capacity), categorizing expenses, finding tax deductions, and help with busywork that "learns and performs tasks" (beta). Plus automated bookkeeping, invoicing, and bill pay.
• Essentials: an annual books check-in with an action plan, Accounting AI to clean up your books, bulk invoices (beta), Payments AI to help you get paid faster, and Business Tax AI to estimate quarterly payments.
• Plus: reconciling your books, auto-categorized and verified transactions, profit and loss insights, scenario planning saved as budgets (beta), finding and fixing anomalies, Sales Tax AI, and Customer AI that sources leads and follows up.
• Advanced: Project Management AI, continuous books quality checks with quarterly insights, Finance AI, and approval workflows for bills.

Who it's for: small businesses that want their books, invoices, and bills in one place, and their accountant able to log in.

Picture this: you run a cleaning company with six staff. Each week QuickBooks categorizes your card transactions, and you ask AI Chat, "What did we spend on supplies this month compared with last month?" Questions to ask before you choose a plan:

• How many users do you need? Intuit lists 1 user on Free, 3 on Essentials, and 25 on Advanced.
• Which AI features matter most? Cleaning up books, getting paid, and tax estimates sit on different plans.
• Who checks the books? Invite your accountant. Intuit says paid plans include accountant access.

Try it this week: 1. Connect your main bank account. 2. Review how QuickBooks categorized last month's transactions, and fix any mistakes so it learns. 3. Ask AI Chat one question about your numbers, then check the answer in a report.

Good to know: some features are labeled beta or limited capacity on Intuit's page. Keep your accountant in the loop on anything tax-related.
